Service & Community
This ministry is also known as “Helps”. At The House of Prayer, we
believe in the gift of helps and that we are all called to be servants in the
Kingdom of God. Jesus was the greatest example of a servant. In fact,
Philippians 2 says of Jesus, that he took on the very nature of a servant
and humbled himself. Service is a way that we as believers show love
to God, His body the Church, and the world around us. Service plays a
very important role in all that we do, but it doesn’t stop with our actions
because servants are who we are!
Service ministry comprises many different areas in our church. Greeters,
Ushers, Parking Attendants, administrative support, and ministerial
event support are all part of the service ministry. Needless to say, this
ministry plays a very big role in the life of our church. Church services
would look a great deal different without the vital support of our Service
Ministry! This ministry enables the church to have church in a much
more effective way.
