Ministry
The purpose of the
Worship Ministry is to create an atmosphere of true worship. God is
a spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and
truth (John 4:23). We will establish a lifestyle of Worship that
will enable us to be more sensitive to the move of the Spirit as we
continue to seek Him in prayer.
Broken and contrite hearts, submissive to God’s will thus enabling us
to live a holy and consecrated life honoring our Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ. Worship brings us from the outer court to the Holy of
Holies, the very presence of God, and in this place no sickness
dwells, and in His presence is fullness of joy; and at His right
hand there are pleasures for evermore (Psalms 16:11). We worship God
for who He is, not just for what He has done.
God wants us to be excited about praise. There are Hebrew terms that
express how we should praise God, lifting up holy hands and bowing
before Him in reverence and adoration. The Hebrew word used to
describe God’s actions in rejoicing means, “to jump up and down and
spin around in jubilant excitement.
"The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His
love, He will rejoice over you with singing."
- Zephaniah 3:17

Jesus said, "You
shall love (agape) the Lord your God with all your heart, and with
all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and
foremost commandment." The second is like it, "You shall love
(agape) your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend
the whole Law and the Prophets.
- Matthew 22:36-40 |
